Dear fellow law practitioners,
We are pleased to announce an introductory course on Luxembourg financial law. This course is designed for lawyers new to Luxembourg who wish to gain valuable insights into the unique legal aspects of Luxembourg's financial center. Additionally, practitioners from other legal fields may find the conference beneficial for acquiring a foundational understanding of the Luxembourg legal framework, with a particular focus on financial law.
The conference will be presided by Me Nicolas Thieltgen, President of ALJB.

Membership: Becoming an ALJB member is easy and only costs 95 € per year for individual, 30 € per year for student and 300 € per year for corporate members. Corporate members may send maximum 3 employees to the conference at the preferential ALJB rate.
To become an ALJB member :
- Individuals and students should register online on: https://www.aljb.lu/en/user/register/membre_effectif.
- Corporates should register online on: https://www.aljb.lu/en/user/register/membre_honneur.
- In addition to their online registration, students should send a proof of their status to secretariat@aljb.lu.
Registrations: Registrations to the event are to be undertaken by 20 November 2025 at the latest as follows:
- non-students (both ALJB members and non-members) register exclusively through or website: www.aljb.lu (section Events – Next events). An invoice will be automatically issued.
- students are to send an e-mail to secretariat@aljb.lu with proof (eg student card) of their university registration for the 2025-2026 academic year. After verification, they will receive an invitation to pay.
Spots: Spots are limited to 80 and will be allocated on a first paid first served basis: the date of payment of the invoice determines priority.
Certificate of attendance: Participants (except students) who sign the register on premises will receive a certificate of attendance. As ALJB has been accredited by the Luxembourg Bar as a training organisation, members of the Bar can use this certificate of attendance to comply with their continued training obligation.
Cancellation: Cancellation of your participation in the conference is possible until 20 November 2025. Beyond this deadline, the registration fees will remain due, as well as in the case of a "no show".
Public transport and parking: The nearest tram stop is "Alphonse Weicker", which is a 5-minute walk from the venue. Please refer to the enclosed map for the car park.
Pictures: During the event, pictures will be taken and published on ALJB’s website as well as on social media.
